About 198jl
198jl was born out of a simple idea: Filipino players deserve a world-class online casino that understands their culture, speaks their language, and respects their peso. Founded by a team of gaming professionals with deep roots in the Philippine market, we built 198jl from the ground up to serve everyone from casual bingo fans in Cebu to serious sports bettors in Makati.

We believe gambling should always be fun, and we back that belief with a strong responsible gaming program, 24/7 support, and a community that keeps growing across the archipelago.

Effective Betting Tips for Filipino Players
Whether you're new to sports betting or a seasoned slots player, these practical tips will help you play smarter at 198jl.
Bankroll Management
Never bet more than 5% of your total bankroll on a single game. Stretch your peso further and avoid going bust on one bad night.
Understanding Odds Formats
Decimal odds (2.50) are the standard at 198jl. A ₱1,000 bet at 2.50 returns ₱2,500 total. Learn the difference before placing your first wager.
Mix Bet Strategy
Parlay bets combine multiple selections for a bigger payout — but start small with 2-3 leg combos before going deeper. Higher reward, yes, but also higher risk.
Follow Statistics First
Check PBA team forms, head-to-head records, and player injury reports before betting. Data beats gut feel most of the time.
Avoid Emotional Betting
Never chase losses by doubling bets after a bad run. Set a stop-loss limit and walk away. Emotions and betting accounts don't mix well.
Set Your Deposit Limits
Use 198jl's built-in limit tools to set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit caps. It keeps your play sustainable — laro nang may hangganan.
Spot Value Betting Lines
Value betting means finding odds that are priced higher than the true probability. When 198jl's lines diverge from the consensus, that's your opening.
Responsible Gaming Reminder: Betting should be entertainment, not a source of income. Sumugal nang may responsibilidad. If you feel gambling is affecting your daily life, reach out to our support team or visit our Responsible Gaming page.

198jl Betting Glossary
New to online gambling? These are the key terms every Filipino bettor should know before placing a wager.
A form of handicap betting popular across Asia that eliminates the draw result. One team is given a goal advantage or disadvantage, making the bet a two-way market only.
A bet on whether the combined score of a game will be higher or lower than a bookmaker's set line. Common in basketball — will the PBA game go over 195.5 total points?
The theoretical percentage a slot machine pays back over millions of spins. A 96% RTP means ₱96 is returned for every ₱100 wagered on average. Higher RTP = more player-friendly.
The mathematical advantage the casino holds on every game. Roulette has a ~2.7% edge; baccarat is ~1.06% on the banker bet. The lower the edge, the better for you.
The number of times you must wager a bonus before you can withdraw it. A ₱1,000 bonus with a 30x requirement means you must bet ₱30,000 total — read the fine print always.
Decimal (2.50), fractional (3/2), and American (+150) are three ways to express the same probability. 198jl defaults to decimal odds, the most intuitive format for Filipino players.
Real casino tables streamed in HD from a studio with a human dealer running the game in real time. You bet through your screen — Evolution Gaming powers our live tables at 198jl.
Low-volatility slots pay out small wins frequently; high-volatility slots pay rarely but with huge jackpots. Choose based on your bankroll size and risk tolerance.
A prize pool that grows with every bet placed across a network of linked machines. Some Pragmatic Play progressives at 198jl climb into the millions of pesos.
A rebate on net losses, typically paid weekly. If you lost ₱5,000 and your cashback rate is 5%, you get ₱250 back — a safety net that keeps play sustainable.
Pre-match bets are placed before an event starts. In-play (live) betting lets you wager while the game is ongoing — odds shift by the second, creating fast opportunities.
A single bet that links multiple selections together. All legs must win for a payout. The risk is higher, but so is the reward — popular for PBA and international football combos.
